Innovative productivity

Inventions can have a deep impact on productivity. Innovating, improving processes and products though drive productivity the most. While not every business can develop a high number of patents, the improvement of processes is still one of the most important factors for future’s welfare. Is innovation worth it? Should firms invest in innovating processes and new inventions? What are the changes in managerial behavior patterns?   A report written by the OECD’s Chied Economist Catherine Mann shows that there are four key factors that are frontiers for productivity. She argues a long the way with Chiara Criscuolo at her side that the lack of diffusing innovative processes and products throughout the economy makes productivity growth less likely.
